Now residing in Denver CO. and enjoying every minute of this town! Left the San Francisco bay area last summer to live closer to family, amongst a shit ton of other reasons (ie. $3500+ box sized apartments).
Since leaving high school I've been learning and developing software. I am truly content with this craft, developing software isn't just an obligation or day job, it's a passion!
Aside from my computing obsession, I enjoy playing guitar, snowboarding,
cliff jumping, live music, and needless to say the finest vino of northern California
This last August, we had a healthy baby boy born named Ezra, so as far as my free time snowboarding and live music gigs, are now essentially nil. Now at 8 months he cannot stay away from my Macbook or smart phone. We're thinking of teaching him protocol oriented programming in Swift this summer!
Currently working as a Sr. Web Developer at OppenheimerFunds down in Centennial, CO. They hired me as a contractor in December to help with the development and launch of their new High Net Worth investment funds and strategies pages. It's essentially a complete revamp of their existing investors and advisors pages. Over the past several months I've strictly been in Rails land, ETLing data with MongoDB and updating the global search functionality which is powered by elasticsearch (fun stuff).
In 2016 I worked remotely with a company out of Pasadena CA, named 17hats. I was hired as a Software Engineer working primarily on the mobile team. Our iOS app is written purely in Swift 2 and persists data with the Realm Mobile Database. Watch Announcement if you feel inclined.
While living in the bay area I mainly focused on leading and building the mobile team at Coupa Software Inc. Initially hired as a Sr. Mobile Engineer I mostly worked and collaborated on Coupa Mobile with the PMs. Later became the Mobile Dev Manager, I then helped the efforts of our Android application, which was initially outsourced, then later hired an in-house Android Developer. In the course of the transition from our contractors to direct hire I made contributions to the Android App
Prior to my move to San Francisco I was heavily focused writing software with Lavu Inc. Our main product was an iPad based Point of Sale system. As the 6th employee and 1st Software Developer (aside from the founders) hired, I contributed a good deal of code and insight on various products. Please see my résumé for more details and links...
Due to the nature of a previous employer (U.S. Government Contractor), majority of the software I wrote in the early to mid 2000s ran on internal, highly secure web servers. If I have given you credentials to preview this work, please login.
